STRESS

Awkward

December is awkward, because people can never wish to start over in the coming month and next month really is the next year.
Being in an awkward position is not exciting, especially it's my life that I'm talking about.
Whatever I do only makes me more tired.
Am I stupid or what?
I'm so looking forward to next year.

Cutest Ellen

Who's gonna be cuter than Ellen?

excerpted from ellen's blog -- Ellen's Lunch

It's Lunch Time!

Hola watchers of my lunch. Today I am lunching from south of the border with these delicious organic chicken fajitas (Pronounced: fah-heat-as. The j is silent.) filled with red and green peppers, zucchini, onion and cheese and wrapped in flower tortillas (pronounced: tort-tea-as. The ll is silent.) There are also some black beans and rice (pronounced: black-beans-and-rice. Nothing is silent. All the letters are loud and clear.) There is also some roasted tomato salsa (pronounced either: to-matt-oh or to-may-toe) and guacamole (pronounced: gwak-a-mole-eee.)

I love guacamole. I'm thinking of planting some guacamole bushes in the back yard. I've always wondered how the guacamole keeps from dripping off the stems. Now I can see for myself.

But for now, I shall eat my lunch. Adiós,

Ellen (Pronounced: Ellen. the second l is silent)

The Real Comedian

I've never considered myself funny.  I'm not cynical as people think, either.  Maybe I'm just weird.

I can't remember when I started to like Bill Murphy, but everytime he says something, I have a strong feeling that I know what he means.  Again, I'm just weird.

11.06.2007 - Shopping US vs. UK

From 'My Fashion Life' blog,

Is American shopping still so bad that we need another European import? Granted, shopping in the U.S has its drawbacks, but anyone who has lived abroad knows that Europe is not the shopaholic’s paradise it sometimes appears to be. Here are some of the pros and cons I discovered when shopping across the pond…

Pros:
Superior sizing.
Unlike in the land of Big Macs and “super sizing,” the UK offers clothing to fit petite women.

Fast-forward fashion.
In the US, it can take months for runway fashion to hit retail stores. In the UK, the models have barely gotten off the runway before imitation versions are available everywhere.

Harrods.
It may be crowded, expensive, and full of tourists, but there is no place in America where you can buy quail eggs and Prada under the same roof.

Cons:
Exchange Rate.
A pair of jeans that might cost you $100 in America can easily cost ₤100 or more in England. Do the math and you’ll realize that the US dollar just doesn’t cover it overseas.

Same old, same old.
While the US is often regarded as the chain capital of the world, Britain definitely has its share of high-street homogeneity. Look around and you’ll see a GAP on every corner and a Starbucks drink in every hand.

Fashion victims.
Sure, the UK has its share of eccentrics and individualists. But sometimes, it seems like the whole nation gets swept up in the latest and greatest trend. When the 40 year old mom and her 8 year old daughter are both wearing the same wooden necklace, it can get a little much.

Go French

Writers Guild of America members went on strikes starting yesterday.  I have to say that's very French of Hollywood.  WGA and all major studios couldn't get into agreement after three-month negotiations.  Shame on Hollywood production companies!

ABC News: Some of the so-called A-list writers make more than $5 million a year, $400,000 a week for a rewrite of a film in trouble, but there are thousands of writers you will never hear of. In fact, almost half of the West Coast members of the WGA are not working as writers in any given year, strike or no strike. Writing jobs are hard to get and even harder to keep.

The strike will affect evening talk shows first, e.g. letterman & jay leno etc., then drama/comedy series in the evening.  I think the 'plans' are that talk shows will rerun old ones starting tonight and drama/comedy series will rerun starting next one or two weeks.  I'm all for the strikes!!

Spice Girl

今天看见POSH SPICE上ELLEN的节目的截图,一个NEVER WITHOUT HIGH-HEELS的人和一个NEVER IN HIGH-HEELS的人换鞋穿。
SILLY, BUT SO CUTE,DEDICATE TO DD.
